Why Pure Pilates?
Pilates
has gained much popularity and the demand for teachers has grown.
In response to this demand, many "certifications" have
been developed, ranging from one-day workshops to substantial
training such as the one that Pure Pilates instructors have completed.
Pilates is an extraordinary method that delivers the results it
promises. However, as with most good things in life, these results
come from hard work and dedication on both the instructor and
the client's part. A teacher must understand how each exercise
feels, and how to convey that feeling to different individuals
with differing personalities and different body types.
We
believe that talent and fitness background are only the building
blocks of a great teacher. Pilates is unlike any other form
of
exercise and its strong results are due to qualified instructors
teaching it in its original, pure and unaltered form. This
requires
significant training to learn and further practice to master.
Many people have attempted to "evolve" or add to the
original method of Pilates. In doing so, important elements have
been eliminated and exercises have been altered in a way that
changes the original intention of the exercise, thereby altering
the results experienced by the client. While many exercises are
worthwhile and creative, we strive to preserve Pilates in its
purest form. Our intention is to prevent the loss of this fantastic
method and continue to make Pilates and all of its wonderful results
available to you.
